A growing share of buying research never touches a results page. Someone asks an assistant for options, gets three named recommendations with reasoning, and starts from there. If your business is not legible to those systems, you are absent from the shortlist before comparison begins.

Quotable beats clever

AI systems favor content that answers a specific question in a self-contained way. That means clear headings phrased the way people actually ask, direct answers in the first two sentences of a section, concrete numbers and durations, and no burying the point under three paragraphs of preamble. If a passage can be lifted and still make sense, it can be cited.

Structure is not decoration

Semantic HTML, one clear topic per page, descriptive metadata, structured data where it applies, and fast, render-blocking-free pages. These have always been good SEO practice; they now also determine whether a machine can parse and attribute your content correctly.

Say who and where you are

For a local business, specificity is leverage. “Custom software development company in Bethlehem, PA serving the Lehigh Valley” is answerable. “Digital transformation partner” is not. Name your services, your city, your service area, your durations, and your contact details in text – not only in an image or a logo.

Measure what actually matters

Track branded search, direct traffic, and the questions people arrive with – not impressions. AI visibility compounds over months, which is why our Visibility engagements run for a minimum of six months. Anything shorter measures noise.
